We are pleased to announce Guillaume Sauvage’s promotion to Country Director in Singapore. In this interview, Guillaume shares insights into his professional journey, his vision for the company’s growth in Singapore, and the innovative strategies he plans to implement. He also discusses his leadership approach and the importance of building strong, transparent relationships with stakeholders.

Could you tell us about your professional journey and how you arrived at this position of Country Director in Singapore?

I started my career in France as a Business Manager in an engineering consulting company, where I developed a business from scratch, working in various sectors such as automotive, pharmaceuticals, etc.

After two successful years, I had a strong desire to go international, so I started looking for opportunities abroad.

I had the opportunity to go to the United States, to Detroit, to develop the activities of an engineering consulting company, by bringing in French engineers to fill the lack of local talents. After a successful year and a half there, I wanted to find a new opportunity in a country where digitalization and development are important and that’s how I joined Abdellah in Singapore six years ago to develop the activities of the company.

In Singapore, I helped grow the business, coached juniors and overcame significant challenges, especially during the COVID period. Post-COVID, I managed to relaunch our activities and establish a strong team. Today, I am delighted to continue this development as Country Director for Singapore and Malaysia.

Can you now tell us about your major responsibilities as Country Director and what your priorities will be in this new role?

As Country Director, my main responsibilities include the development of activities in Singapore and Malaysia, growth in terms of headcount and turnover, as well as P&L management.

I oversee all teams to manage business development, with a particular focus on developing partnerships with new clients to diversify our portfolio and reduce dependence on certain clients.

We are, also, working on the development of existing accounts and on collaboration with other countries to create regional synergies.

How do you plan to maintain relationships with stakeholders and continue to grow your customer portfolio?

To maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and continue to grow our customer portfolio, we are implementing a strategy based on close collaboration with various entities and countries. Our goal is to leverage existing synergies and develop new clients.

We aim to offer more diversified opportunities to our consultants by harnessing the expertise within our ecosystem, Alan Allman Associates. This includes the expansion of offshore services to provide comprehensive and competitive solutions to our clients.

Additionally, we will enhance our corporate culture, particularly among our consultants, by fostering a sense of belonging and organizing more value-added events, such as team-building activities and networking sessions.

These initiatives will not only strengthen our internal cohesion but also improve our service offerings to clients, ensuring sustainable growth and long-term success.
